Subtitle synchronizer: sync SRT timing online
Subtitles too early or too late? Shift every line by a few seconds or convert between frame rates, then download the fixed file.
Runs in your browser. Your file is never uploaded.
How to fix out-of-sync subtitles
Play the video and note how far off the first line is. If the subtitle appears 2 seconds before the speech, enter 2. If it appears 1.5 seconds late, enter -1.5. Every cue moves by the same amount.
If the subtitles start in sync but drift further apart over time, the file was made for a different frame rate. Choose the original and target frame rates, for example 23.976 to 25, and check the end of the video again.
Questions
What happens to lines that move before 0:00?
A line that would start before zero now starts at zero. A line that would end before zero is removed.
Which format do I get back?
VTT and ASS files stay in their format. Other formats are saved as SRT.
Can I sync only part of a file?
This tool shifts the whole file. For cue-by-cue timing, use the Aivently editor.
